TIP: While fishing with braided fishing line , the abrasion of rocks, trees and other heavy cover can discolor your line to an off white tint , a technique used by many top anglers is to recolor the line as often as needed with a permanent dark colored waterproof marker. Simply slice a "V" shape in a permanent marker with a razor and slide your line through the "V" on the marker to re-color it. This also helps you to notice abrasions or frays on your line that might indicate the need to cut off and re-tie your line to your favorite bait. This tip also works well with some monofilament lines to help camouflage them in clear water conditions.
